Dramaturgy: A method to understand how our every day interactions come to be / why they come to be
it does so by seeing every small interaction as a play. Right now you are in a play, lets call that play, sociology class.
In sociology class people are gonna play different parts, were gonna have scenery, different props, etc.
Her role is the teacher, and a person could see that shes the teacher. Shes the only one standing, shes addressing the class, and she uses props
Our role is the student
How do we want her to see us as a student?

She sees other instructors teaching, one instructor just sits behind the computer screen and talks at the class
teaching style is something of a performance, she is performing. How does she want us to see her ?
Competent Confident Engaging
she does a lot of hand movement, and that hand movement is only happening here, shes not at harriss teeter gesturing at the cashier

how does bevhaiour change from one place to another
how are props used
How does that work to attempt to influence others
