Bag itself’s mounting mechanism

pull back this lever to tighten

bar of rack goes in right here.

PROBLEM: The way the bike bag mounting bar (this) mounts onto the actual cloth bag part.

( inside bag view )

these little rubber rings are supposed to block these screws from falling out through the bag.

problem is im holding a lot of weight and they are not very big and they rip their way through the bag.

What I would like to do:
