For reflection, we only need to do reflection on the classes from this week. dont have to worry about previous weeks.

GPA A - 4 B - 3 C - 2 D - 1 F - 0 4 credit hour class impacts GPA heavier than a 2 or 3 hour class. 4 credit hour class you multiply by the gp of the grade

for a b in a 4 credit hr class you get 4*3 = 12

employers dont really gaf about your final gpa usually, but university related things do care about your gpa.

term gpa is per semester cumulative gpa is your total gpa for whole time at university if your gpa is below a 2.0 you cannot graduate

degreeworks has a gpa calculator included in it, as does ninercentral

academic suspension happens if you end a semester w a 2.0 gpa then you must appeal or just like dip, you are automatically withdrawn from classes.

academic probation is when you need to raise your cumulative gpa to return to 2.0 to get good standing again.

withdrawal lets you drop a course from your schedule without it impacting your gpa

dropping from a class is when you make a change to your schedule during the add / drop period. add / drop runs through the first week of classes. any classes dropped during add/drop are just fine to drop it doesnt impact you at all, wont show up on transcript or anything.

not really any consequences for a withdrawal, W on your transcript but not much past that. W beats a bad grade. after oct 8 you can still drop / withdraw from a class via an academic petition. You have a maximum of 16 total credit hours you can withdraw from post add / drop.

CCI Core courses must be completed with a C or higher to graduate regardless of cumulative GPA

You can use a grade replacement on any previously earned grade. you can just retake classes and increase your gpa that way. Students have a total of 2 grade replacements for a maximum of 8 credit hours for their entire time at the university. grade replacements are automatically applies when a class is retaken so students will need to opt out if they dont wish to use it.

if you got a C or higher, not worth it to use a grade replacement.

cheating is doing stuff your faculty member does not aprove of e.g. copying another student’s work, using chatgpt without permission, receiving an exam without authorization before the schedule time, taking an exam for another student, etc.

you only receive grade penalty for academic integrity violations if you consent to them usually you just have a conversation w your professor and they express they think you cheated, and they will walk through their concerns w you, and they will propose to you what they want to see as an outcome. e.g. give you a zero on the quiz. you must sign a piece of paper saying you acknowledge the behavior, and acknowledge the zero. if you dont acknowlege it, you can question it, and have the academic integrity panel check it.
